Pencil Case Project

On Sunday, October 6^th, there will be baskets with Pencil Cases at all of the entrances. Proceeds from this project will help to enable elementary school children in Taulabe, Honduras, to get the items needed to start school in February. By filling the pencil case with coins, cash or a check, you will be helping a child attend grade school by supplying them with basics – uniform, shoes, book bag, school supplies or, in mountain communities, a nutritious breakfast to begin their school day.  Make checks payable to “Immaculate Conception” and note in the memo “Pencil Case Project”.  Return the pencil case in one of the wicker baskets labeled “Pencil Case Project” located at all church entrances. You can also drop them off at the parish office.   Please return the pencil cases by October 20^th.

In 2009 the Twinning Committee began working on another education project with our sister parish in Honduras.                                                                  
Amigos Unidos was formed to give grade school children an opportunity to attend school.
Many children lack the basics—uniform, shoes, book bag and/or school supplies.  Your donation will help provide these children with the tools needed to attend school.  
Please return the pencil case in two weeks with cash, coin or check payable to "Immaculate Conception", noting in the memo "Pencil Case".
