Father Brady Gagne was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in May of 2025. Father Gagne grew up going to Mass at St. Peter’s Parish in Slinger. He attended high school at St. Mary’s Springs in Fond du Lac, where he was a part of the school’s hockey team. He went to college at the University of Mary for one year. After his first year of college, he decided to enter the college seminary which brought him to Loyola University in Chicago for one year and then to St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN for another two years before attending St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Milwaukee.
Vocation Story: In fifth grade I did a project on what a day in the life of a Seminarian is like. I was able to tour and attend mass at St. Francis de Sales Seminary. After that experience at the Seminary, a desire toward the priesthood began to form within my heart. I always look back at that experience at the Seminary as one that changed my life, even though I had no idea of that at the time. I had many doubts about the priesthood throughout high school, it seemed like a puzzle that God wanted me to solve. It wasn’t until I did my freshman year of college at the University of Mary that I was able to find more clarity. The turning point in my discernment was when I began to pray by giving the Lord the space to speak in silence. The gentle Presence of our Lord that spoke to me then has continued to guide and shape me throughout my time so far in seminary.
Favorite Psalm Verse: Psalm 16 is my favorite psalm. I am always consoled by this psalm because it reminds me that my happiness lies in the Lord.
Intercessory Saint: St. Joseph of Cupertino- his immense trust in the Lord for his own vocation is amazing to me.
