Religious Education Program (1-11)

Dear Formation Families,
 It is that time of year where we begin to look ahead to fall. We want to make you aware
 of some changes to our registration process. In the past, all West Bend Parishes
 formation program options have been listed on a common registration form. We are
 working to make the process more simplified, so this year each parish will have their
 own registration form. You are still welcome to participate in the program that you wish.
 Please register with the parish you would like to attend. See each parish’s website for
 more details about their programs and instructions on how to register. Sacramental
 Preparation (First Holy Communion, Confession, and Confirmation) should be done at
 your home parish. Please contact Mary Abel at Saint Mary’s IC or Julie Braun at Saint
 Frances Cabrini with any questions. Your families are in our prayers!

If you are interested in helping as a catechist, please contact Mary Abel. 

Philosophy: We recognize the elements of faith already present in the home and the role of the parents as “the first and foremost catechists of their children” (NCD 212). The staff and volunteers of the Religious Education Program are here to assist the parents in the formation of their children. 

Program Goals: The primary goal is that everyone in the program should grow in knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith.

Grades 1-8 Tuesday Classroom Program:

This classic program takes place on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception. The program starts in mid-September and runs though March. Participation in this program allows students to participate in sacramental preparation programs as well. 

Grades 9-10 Sunday Classroom Program:

Takes place on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception.
